SthenosFit vs TrainHeroic

TrainHeroic is the benchmark for strength-and-conditioning teams: squad programming, leaderboards, athlete gamification, and a public Marketplace to sell programs. SthenosFit takes a narrower bet — a research-cited AI programming engine with biometric readiness, cycle-aware logic, and injury-risk flags for one-to-one coaching. This page lays out where each one genuinely wins.

The short version

Pick TrainHeroic if you coach teams or squads and want the best-in-class group experience: shared leaderboards, PR chasing, athlete gamification, custom exercise videos with form-check video review, and a Marketplace that can turn your programming into a new revenue stream. Its low entry price and S&C heritage are hard to beat for barbell-driven group training.

Pick SthenosFit if you run one-to-one coaching and want the programming itself to be smarter. Every session is drafted by a multi-stage AI against peer-reviewed research with citations visible per exercise, then adapted to each client's daily biometric readiness score (sleep, HRV, resting HR), made cycle-aware for clients who opt in, and screened for injury-risk patterns across your roster — with daily client briefings you approve before they ship. It deliberately skips nutrition, exercise-demo videos, habit tracking, and group leaderboards.

They solve different problems. TrainHeroic is a team-training and marketplace platform — it includes a self-report readiness survey, but no wearable-driven biometrics. SthenosFit is a specialist system for individualised programming. If you sell programs to groups, TrainHeroic. If you want research-cited, biometric-aware sessions for individual clients, SthenosFit.

What makes SthenosFit different

01

Programs with receipts

A multi-stage AI pipeline drafts every session against peer-reviewed strength and conditioning research. The citation behind each exercise is visible to you and your client — and the generator learns your coaching style as you edit.

02

Biometrics that act

Most platforms show wearable data on a graph. SthenosFit folds sleep, HRV, heart rate and hormonal cycle into a daily readiness score that informs the next session automatically.

03

A roster that warns you

Pattern analysis surfaces falling adherence, poor recovery and injury risk before they become a cancelled subscription — with a daily briefing per client that you approve before it ships.

Which one should you choose?

Choose TrainHeroic if…

  • You coach teams or squads and want best-in-class group programming with shared leaderboards, PRs, and athlete gamification.
  • You want a public Marketplace to sell programs and team subscriptions.
  • You rely on custom exercise-demo videos and in-app video form-check review as a core part of coaching.

Choose SthenosFit if…

  • Programming quality is your edge, and you want every prescription backed by visible research.
  • You want your clients' wearable data to actually change their next session, not just sit on a chart.
  • You want to know which client needs you today, before they drift.

Why we build it this way

TrainHeroic is built for the stadium: squads, leaderboards and a marketplace. We are built for the coach who is judged on individual results, one client at a time.

That focus is a deliberate trade. We don't ship a nutrition database, a stock video library, habit checklists or a white-label reskin — and we are not going to. Every hour of engineering goes into the two things that decide whether a client stays: programming drafted from current research, and training that bends to how they actually recover. If you want one app that does a little of everything, we are honestly the wrong choice. If you want the sharpest programming you can put your name on, there is nothing closer.

Looking for a TrainHeroic alternative?

SthenosFit and TrainHeroic are built for different coaches. TrainHeroic is a strength-and-conditioning team platform: squad programming, leaderboards, athlete gamification, custom demonstration videos with form-check video review, a self-report readiness survey, and a public Marketplace for selling programs. SthenosFit is a specialist system for one-to-one coaching — sessions drafted by multi-stage AI against peer-reviewed research with per-exercise citations, a daily biometric readiness score from sleep, HRV and resting heart rate, sessions that auto-adapt to wearable recovery, optional cycle-aware programming, injury-risk flags on the roster, and daily client briefings the coach approves. SthenosFit syncs Apple Health and Android Health Connect but does not yet integrate Garmin, Whoop, Oura or Fitbit directly; it has no nutrition, exercise videos, habit tracking, or group leaderboards. Choose TrainHeroic for team training and a marketplace; choose SthenosFit for research-cited, biometric-aware individual programming.

Common questions

Does TrainHeroic integrate with wearables like Garmin, Whoop or Apple Watch?

For recovery data, no. TrainHeroic does not connect to Apple Watch, Garmin, Oura, Whoop or Fitbit for biometric recovery signals; its readiness picture comes from logged sessions and a short self-report wellness survey (sleep, mood, energy, stress, soreness). SthenosFit syncs Apple Health and Android Health Connect to produce a daily biometric readiness score and adapt sessions to recovery, though it too does not yet support direct Garmin, Whoop, Oura or Fitbit integrations.

Can I export my programs out of TrainHeroic?

There is no built-in way for coaches to export the training plans or program history they have built in TrainHeroic — programming is delivered in-app, and a coach program export is a long-standing feature request. Coaches can export a CSV of their athlete list, and athletes can download their own personal data (a GDPR export of profile, training history, messages and readiness). SthenosFit provides a GDPR JSON data export plus account deletion.

What does SthenosFit do that TrainHeroic doesn't?

SthenosFit drafts each session with multi-stage AI against peer-reviewed research and shows the citation per exercise, generates a daily readiness score from wearable biometrics (sleep, HRV and resting heart rate), auto-adapts sessions to that recovery data, offers opt-in cycle-aware programming, flags injury-risk patterns on the roster, and produces daily client briefings the coach approves before they ship. TrainHeroic has none of these AI or biometric features — its readiness tool is a self-report survey rather than a wearable-driven score.
